Almost everyone knows someone that has experienced this dreadful error message yet so few know how to resolve if it happens to them. Lucky for you This short post will show you different way that have worked for others… It’s not clear why folks get this message but we suspect that it may have to do with alleged spamming or we can’t confirm this.

With more and more companies in Zimbabwe using social media to market their products and services, more folks are bound to experience this issue at some point in their time on social media. Hopefully the following solution work for you and if they do not, please tell us in the comments how you resolved the issue.

Solution 1:

We have not tried this method but we received the tip from one of our ZimShoppingMalls readers. The reader says go into your browser history and clear browsing data ensuring that cookies, cache etc are selected before you actually clear your browsing data. This method may not be reliable because some people have reported getting the error message regardless of the device they use. That means the issue may not necessarily be device specific but rather on the FB servers themselves so clearing your browser data will not do anything to resolve it.

Solution 2:

Again we did not try this method but one of our readers claims to have tried it and it worked for her so we are sharing with you:
Go to:

  • Login using your normal credentials
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page and access your Account
  • Change your password
  • Open a new browser window
  • Go to:
  • Login using your new password
  • Follow the ‘Make My Account Secure’ steps
  • Finally, open a new browser window, go to, and login using your new password – you will be able to access your page.

Solution 3:

We tried this method and it worked; of course the staff member that experienced this issue was patient and in no hurry to get back into his account. This may not be an option for most people. Just wait it out and eventually you will be able to log back into your account. Others had to wait between a week and 4 weeks before getting access to their accounts without changing anything or trying to contact Facebook.
