Julius Nyerere has long been a friend to Zimbabwe, since long before the Africans achieved their liberation and were free to even name their land. This book was made to commemorate the legacy of this African icon, who convinced his people to continue to sacrifice so that others they would never meet could have the same chance at self-governance.
The House of Books is a family-owned business which has been proudly publishing education, tourism, history, to local stories, children’s books, and coffee-table treasures books to promote Zimbabwe since 2009. We set out with the goal of making a book to show off our beautiful country in all of its splendour. It turns out that was a message many people wanted to hear. Our first publication sky-rocketed our humble book to an international best-seller. Now, we are looking to nurture local talent and expand our operation to represent every walk of life that Zimbabwe has to offer.
