Breaking News: Dr. Oliver ‘Tuku’ Mtukudzi, perhaps the greatest musician from Zimbabwe has died at the age of 66. The superstar succumbed to a long battle with diabetes at The Avenues Clinic in Harare on 23 January 2019. Many tributes and condolence messages from business leaders, politicians, celebrities, fans and others have already flooded the Social Media for one of Zimbabwe’s greatest music legends.

Tuku, as he was commonly referred to by most, died on the same day – a year later – as the late South African Jazz artist Hugh Masekela.
