We can all agree that Facebook has definitely shifted how communication happens between people and between Brands and their customers. I’m sure there are a few lessons we can all learn from the gigantic platform.

Over the years they have evolved and changed how communication and human interaction happens.
1. People say things they don’t mean
Facebook understood at a very early stage that people say they value their privacy but do the exact opposite. Shocking isn’t it? On the giant social platform e people are constantly giving out information to either other people or businesses about what they are doing, contact information and even the exact location. This opened a huge door for them
2. Learn from others
Twitter around 2010 started their decline in usage because it was too fast. The only accounts on that platform that got the best results were news accounts as they need news to travel fast. As Facebook learned this they introduced the algorithm that made sure that their users would see only things they cared about. This was such a great improvement as it shows that giants Google and Twitter ended up following in their foot steps
Facebook introduction of the status feature
Facebook at some point faced huge competition from Snapchat. Snapchat was growing so popular especially with teens because of the it’s status feature. Facebook decided to also introduce the status feature which was great innovation as people loved statuses.
Domination has been the major reason why Facebook has been able to acquire companies like Instagram and WhatsApp which made them dominate the mobile phone. This also secured Facebook’s place in the next 5-10 years.
