Registration & Enrollment of new pupils for St George’s College

Applications for Form 1 can be made before May preceding the year of entry. i.e. last term of Gr 6 and 1st term Gr 7. Application Forms are obtainable from the Registrar at St George’s or can be downloaded from their site, and should be returned to the Registrar with the correct registration fee. This is the first step in your Application. In May prior to the year of entry, you will be required to visit the College and collect your entry documents to enable you to write the entrance exam. There is a fee charged for writing the exam which is payable on the return of your completed entry documents.

The exam usually takes place on the first Saturday in July. If your son is accepted into the College you will be required to pay a non-refundable deposit. If you are not offered a place you will be refunded part of the exam fee on written application. If you accept the place and then for some reason are unable to take it up, there will be no refund. Letters to notify the successful and unsuccessful candidates will be available for collection within fourteen (14) days of the exam. The Headmaster’s decision is final.

Applications for Places above Form1

Such applications are made by filling in a Wait-List Form, obtainable from the College for Forms II to Lower VI. (The College does not ordinarily take new boys into Form IV.) Entry to Lower VI, however, depends on the applicant’s performance in his ‘O’ Level Examinations, and there are usually some places available for boys who have written their ‘O’ Level examinations elsewhere, and have achieved good grades.
